Here I am with "Bread Mommy" - one of the parents in the Zenith Education group who went on a field trip to Beijing this summer. She gets her name from the DELICIOUS foods she makes and shares with us. We were very tired at this point but we climbed and climbed some more!
The wall is more of a road that goes over the mountains - not through them! When I saw all the tourists (very few foreigners) walking and walking I could imagine how the Wall helped China's commerce in ancient times.
This is an ancient drain pipe to keep the Wall dry for travelers.

And, you know, you can see it from SPACE! Its that big. I want to go again and spend more time. No rush -- it will be there forever.
