Trip to the temple of the Five Dragon Kings and their Mountain

After the Cultural Presentations and a fabulous lunch at a restaurant nearby, we boarded a luxury bus and headed for the Five Dragon Kings' Mountain - a beautiful park about an hour outside Ningbo.  We climbed for hours, saw waterfalls and forests of bamboo.  If you remember the scenes of kung fu fighting in the trees from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" - that's what this area looks like!  Lovely waterfalls, deep pools and the quiet sounds of water on rocks.

The strangest thing -- no birds.  Not a one.  There are birds in Beilun, we've seen shrikes, kingfishers, sparrows and egrets around the pond in our apartment complex.  We will have to investigate this further.  I don't like to assume something here - with so little knowledge of the language or customs I really can't say why we neither saw or heard any birds.  That was the only wrinkle in a magical day.
